Air pumps
Penis pumps create a vacuum effect around the penis, increasing blood flow. When an increasing amount of blood flows to the shaft of the penis and up into the head, the chambers inside the penis are forced to expand, so that they can accommodate the blood flowing in. Instead of circulating blood, it’s trapped in the penis due to the vacuum in the expansion chamber. As a sex toy, the penis pump will keep the influx of blood, giving a light headed feeling.
If you have seen a photo of a common penis pump, you'll notice they often come with a cylinder that is meant to fit over the penis. When this cylinder fits snugly over the penis and is held tightly against the body, air is prevented from entering. Squeezing the hand pump that is attached to the cylinder will gradually increase the blood flowing into the penis. With the blood flowing into the chambers of the penis, the internal tissues will expand with consistent use.
There are many problems associated with the use of air pumps, mainly coming from the fact that the seal is made at the actual base of the penis itself, as opposed to under the scrotum, as with a device like the Bathmate. Miracle Pills
Ever since man invented modern medicine it has been our goal to create a "pill for all ills". This is as apparent in the penis enlargement industry as with any other. The main drawback with any sort of freely available wonder drug is that they are usually nothing more than a collection of herbal remedies branded and marketed to be very appealing. There are many different varieties of penis enlargement pills available on the market, all containing very similar ingredients and producing very similar results. A possible result of these wonder pills is a slightly increased libido.
The ingredients in them promote blood flow and it’s also possible to notice more blood in the penis. Basically you might be in a semi-hard state, yet only giving the appearance of development. This of course has no bearing on an erect penis and therefore does little to improve sexual encounters. The main concern with these pills is the amount they cost in return for the gains you achieve. Manufacturers rely on the fact that a user may expect to spend a long time developing their penis and repeatedly re-order the product which can cost as much as £100 for one month supply.
Of course when the user doesn't see immediate results, if they honestly believe there’s a possibility it will work, they may spend a lot of money to learn a very hard lesson before moving on to a product that actually does work. Unfortunately, in some men there are side effects with the cocktail of remedies that are put into these pills. These side effects usually subside as soon as you stop taking the pill but can include vomiting, diarrhea, a loss of libido and discharge from the penis (as above).
Stretching Devices
Stretching devices work by literally applying tension to your penis for long periods of time and stretching the tissues. These devices are notoriously painful and usually interfere with daily life. Originally designed as a medical aid to Peyronies disease (bent penis) these contraptions have generally kept to a very similar design, in order to put the penis under traction and make the gains through stretching. The obvious downside to this method of development is that by stretching the penis there is no enhancement to the corpora cavernosa or the three chambers in the penis which fill up with blood. In fact, as the penis is stretched it has been known for these chambers to become damaged and reduce the amount of blood flow and in turn the ability to have an erection. This, combined with the fact that such devices must be worn all day in order to see any changes whatsoever, stretching devices have fast become one of the least popular methods of penis development around - and rightly so.
Surgery
The practice of cosmetic surgery has become quite common. Women routinely have their breasts enlarged and the same is now true for men who wish to develop their penis.
The most common technique to lengthen the penis is to cut its Suspensory Ligament then perform plastic surgery to provide additional skin that covers it’s new length. The results are difficult to judge, as surgeons have not collected data in a systematic manner. The results of the only reliable study indicate that dividing the Suspensory Ligament alone results in an average increase of 0.5cm (around 0.25in) in length, while skin advancement increases the length gain to 1.6cm (around 0.75in). These figures do not compare well with the claims made by some clinics. Some people, undoubtedly, do better than average, while others do worse.
The Suspensory Ligament does have a role, in that it helps keep the penis pointing upwards during erection. After it has been divided, that support is no longer present. After surgery, some men find that they have gained a small increase in flaccid length, but the erect penis is about the same size and now points towards the floor!
Along with lengthening, an operation can also be conducted to increase girth. There are two techniques in common use:
1) An injection of Liposuctioned Fat, from the abdominal wall or thighs, into the Dartos Fascia under the skin of the penile shaft.
2) Placing grafts of dermis (a layer of tissue from under the skin surface that’s well supplied with blood vessels) and fat from the groin or buttock area within the penile shaft.
The results following injection of Liposuctioned Fat can be deeply disappointing. Up to 90 per cent of the fat can disappear within a year. Grafts seem to do rather better, but there is no reliable published data on long-term results.
There are many known, potential hazards of surgical enlargement some of the most documented being:
Scrotalisation of the penis, in which the penis appears to rise from the scrotum instead of the abdominal wall.
'Dog-ears' at each end of the operation scar.
Sloughing of the skin used to increase penile length (the skin has a poor blood supply and therefore dies, leaving a deep, ulcerated area).
In extreme cases it has been known for men to die as a result of bleeding during augmentation surgery.
Along with the potential physical problems surgery can pose, from a financial point such surgery can cost many thousands of pounds. In one recent case a man borrowed £3000 pounds from his bank to pay for the surgery. Unfortunately the surgery didn't go according to plan and the man in question had to take time away from work to recover. This led to his dismissal and in turn, the loss of his family and home. To make matters even worse, after his recovery he realized he was now permanently impotent. Even though this is an extreme case, perhaps it’s a very high price to pay for such an operation.
Natural Exercise (Jelking)
In terms of penis enlargement, the process of enlargement through non-aided exercise is literally only a step away from masturbation and indeed offers only similar gains. Unfortunately, a whole industry has evolved from the concept that, without any assistance, you can create measurable gains in the length and thickness of your penis. These industries thrive on "secret tribal techniques" that can be sold for the right price and so on. Foolishly, many men have parted with hard earned money only to realize that they have bought a manual, describing routines that reach no further than their own imagination.
Some of these so called enlargement techniques include the use of weights and/or ropes.
